Mindfulness

Mindfulness Therapy

Mindfulness leads to a rich life experience, and is a positive approach involving awareness, consciousness and attentiveness.  It is a profound way of changing negative and maladaptive thought patterns.  Ordinary tasks and activities take on new meaning and life is experienced at a deeper level.  Most people who use mindfulness describe it as living with joy, contentment and love.

In mindfulness therapy we will explore living life with peace-of-mind and joy.  You will learn to accept life as it is right here, right now rather than fighting the future or mourning the past . Your relationships will improve when you decide to be mindful in dealing with others.  You will deal with stress more effectively and focus on health and wholeness.  Instead of dreading what is to come, you will become aware of the vast richness of your life and become more generous and open to receiving what is offered.  You will learn to live in the presence of love.

Mindfulness begins as a method to change one’s mind and perceptions, but when practiced consistently manifests as a way of life.  When we are alert and aware, we are present to what is unfolding in the present. The discipline helps us accept life as it is rather than fighting the future or mourning the past.  When we are living consciously, we are in touch with what is important in life.  Our egos diminish and we are comfortable with and kind to ourselves and others. Mindful living allows us to accept, enjoy, and to be enthused about life a moment at a time.

“Always say “yes” to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to what already is? what could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to what is. Say “yes” to life — and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you. ~ Eckhart Tolle
